My work focuses on the spatial analysis of land cover and land use changes in Natural Protected Areas. Through a script in Google Earth Engine, it is possible to determine these changes. The goal is to provide a replicable tool that facilitates future studies on land use and cover dynamics, applicable to other areas of interest.

For me, documentaries are the best way to communicate any type of event. My purpose in this valuable project is to document a bit of the great effort and dedication made by both the communities and all the people involved in the project, allowing viewers to experience a small part of what it means to strengthen Mayan communities and forests.

My work focuses on the research and development of scientific outreach materials, aiming to identify the body of knowledge and practices that the population of Calkiní, Campeche, perceives as their biocultural heritage. The goal is to highlight the knowledge and biocultural memory related to both ancient and current practices in farming, the forest, or daily life. To share the results, I designed a portfolio of illustrations and a fanzine, with the intention of returning the findings to the community in a practical and engaging way.
